So...this is my first Christmas since 1984 that I will not have my kids with me. It makes me a sad Mom but it also makes me proud to know that they are adults now and have their own priorities to attend to. I suppose the longtime gf of my son qualifies as reason enough to not be with the mom. (I still love you Bri) And of course running out of vacation in order to give birth to my grand-daughter Kaydence Leigh, also qualifies as priority for my daughter. I am thrilled however, to be able to see them all in January as we all head down to spend time with the now Great-Gramma /Gramma/Mom. She will be happy to see us all and we will all love to be there! So what was turning out to be a "Not so Merry Christmas" has turned into a Very Happy New Year.
Yeah well, I guess today is a good day for lazagna so I assume that will suffice for supper. Although I cannot wait to cook for Thanksgiving! I am already making a list of things that I need to get together for my traditional feast... For those of you who are privy to my Thanksgiving Dinners...let me know if you are going to be here so I know how many to cook for! ;) Also, put in your requests early in case I decide to switch up the menu. That way you will still have your favorite!
